Owners Colleen Gold and Larry Vidlak, Chef J. Mario “Tiny” Gonzales and staff were commended in the letter for supporting sustainable agriculture and diversifying economic development in the state. The restaurant was the first to receive a certificate from the State Department of Agriculture to operate a restaurant on the 16-acre Kanahonua Farms, near Waipio Lookout.
