KAILUA-KONA — A Kailua-Kona man was released on $45,000 bail after being picked up on felony sexual assault charges earlier this month.
On Friday, Christopher Lickiss appeared in 3rd Circuit Court where Judge Melvin Fujino ordered jury trial to begin Dec. 11. Lickiss is accused of engaging in sexual misconduct with three juveniles over two different periods.
According to an indictment filed with the court on Aug. 31, on or about the Aug. 1, 2014, through May 31, 2015, 34-year-old Lickiss “knowingly engaged in sexual penetration with a minor less than 14 years old at the time,” the court document states.
During that same time period, the indictment also indicates, Lickiss “knowingly subjected to sexual contact or caused to have sexual contact with a minor less than 14 years old at the time.”
The indictment states that on or between Jan. 1, 2016, and July 31, 2017, Lickiss resided in the same home or had recurring access to a minor born in 2008. Lickiss “intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly engaged in three or more acts of sexual penetration or sexual contact with the minor over a period of time with the minor under the age of 14 years.”
Lickiss has been charged with first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault and continuous sexual assault of a minor under the age of 14 years.
