Waimea Nature Park Volunteer Day scheduled Oct. 6

Volunteers are needed to help spruce up Waimea Nature Park, Ulu La’au at a community effort beginning at 9 a.m. Oct. 6. A tour of the park is offered for first timers.

There are jobs for all ages and abilities; no knowledge of Hawaiian plants is necessary. Suggested jobs for Saturday may include regular maintenance of mowing, pruning, edging, weed whacking and hand weeding.
