The public is invited to Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce’s networking event, AfterHours, from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope office on Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea.
Weather permitting, this astronomy-themed pau hana will feature stargazing through telescopes and the chance to win astronomy calendars, posters, bookmarks, books and a grand prize for a trip up to the summit of Maunakea for four persons. Attendees can talk story with Chamber member businesses from across West Hawaii.
General admission is $30; $15 for Chamber members and first-time nonmembers. Registration and prepayment is required; register at www.kona-kohala.com.
