Ellen Mabuni
Ellen Hiroko Mabuni, 76, of Hilo, died July 14, 2018, at a private care home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired insurance agent for Allstate Insurance, former real estate agent for Horita Realty and secretary at the University of Hawaii-Manoa and Honowai Elementary School.
Private services were held. The family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts).
She is survived by husband, Earl Mabuni of Hilo; sons, Eric Mabuni of Hilo, Michael (Rieko) Mabuni of Japan; daughter, Lianne (Dave) Mabuni-Passmore of Makakilo; brother, Richard (Suzanne) Yamashita of Hawaii Kai; sister, Beatrice (Roy) Sakoda of Cerritos, California; one brother-in-law; sisters-in-law, Taeko Yamashita of Hilo; eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Jose Augustin
Jose Manulani Augustin, 66, of Hilo, died on Aug. 8, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Aug. 2, 1952, in Hilo, he was a retired operating assistant at the Hilo Medical Center. He also was in the Kokua Committee for the Merrie Monarch Festival and a member of the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call on Aug. 23 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Visitation is from 6-7 p.m.; wake service at 7 p.m. Friends may call on Aug. 24 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Visitation is from 9-10 a.m.; celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire is requested; no flowers or lei.
He is survived by wife, Sandra Augustin of Hilo; daughters, Tiffany (Gaison) Okada and Shannon Augustin of Hilo; son, Chase (Kim) Augustin of Hilo; brothers, Peter (Pua) Kamano and Ronald (Leona) Augustin of Honolulu, Chang (Althea) Augustin of Hilo; sisters, Jane Redulla of Honolulu, Diane Easley of Florida and Joanne (Tony) Bruggemans of Palm Springs, Calif.; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sueno Ii
Sueno Ii, 90, of Kailua-Kona, died June 22, 2018, in Kailua-Kona. Born in Honolulu on Jan. 28, 1928, she was a seamstress, sewing teacher, cafeteria monitor and a member of Daifukuji Soto Mission.
Private services will be held. The family requests no flowers.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Julie) Ii of Kealakekua; daughter, Alison Ii of Columbia, Md.; brothers, Horace (Doris) Sukita of Oahu, Harry (Norma) Sukita of Oahu; sister, Eleanor (Fukuichi) Kusakabe of Oahu; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sophia Iaukea
Sophia Iaukea, 69, of Pahoa, died Aug. 11, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices’ Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Oct. 4, 1948, in Hoolehua, Molokai, she was retired from Hawaii County Office of Aging and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and Akaka Falls Lions Club.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. Aug. 20 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Cremation to follow. Family requests casual attire be worn.

Emmaline DeVillanueva
Emmaline Nakoolani Kihe DeVillanueva, 77, of Ocean View, died July 1, 2018, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Ka’u on Jan. 14, 1941, she was a homemaker.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. Aug. 25 at Cipriano’s Lots at Hookena Beach for a 10 a.m. celebration of life. Scattering of her ashes will follow. The family requests causal attire and flowers are welcome.

Vicente Bolusan Antonio, 86, of Keaau, died Aug. 13, 2018, at Pohai Malama Hospice Hilo. Born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired farmer and jack of all trades.

Prentiss Wolfe
Prentiss “Doc” Wolfe, Jr., 64, of Pahoa, died on Aug. 1, 2018 at home. Born on Aug. 27, 1953, in Mississippi, he was a retired admitting clerk for Hilo Medical Center. He was also a U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran.
A graveside committal service will be held at noon on Aug. 22 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by siblings, Harry Brown of Texas, Mary Lee Brown of Chicago, Mattie Lee Johnson of Chicago and Bertha Clark of Chicago; children, Benjamin and Cheyanne; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Tamlyn DeMarco
Tamlyn Marie Rose DeMarco, 59, of Hilo died June 18, 2018, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kansas, she was a homemaker and member of the Soka Gakkai International-USA in Hilo.
A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Soka Gakkai International Kaikan, 695 Makalika St. Casual attire is requested.
She is survived by daughters, Caroline Rego of Hilo, Leyna Rego of Glenwood, Jessica Rego of Glenwood; mother, Carole Colipano of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Laurie (Skip) Watkins of Maine; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

James Moniz
James Kenneth Moniz, 82, of Hilo died July 20, 2018, at his residence. Born on Oahu, he was a retired lieutenant with the Hawaii County police department.
Friends may call 4-5 p.m. Aug. 21 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; prayer service at 5 p.m. Family requests casual attire to be worn and leis are welcomed.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Moniz, in 2000.
He is survived by companion, Sharon Milar of Hilo; sons, Kenneth (Roberta) Moniz of Volcano, James Moniz of Hilo; daughter, Jennifer (Craig) Long of Kona; hanai son, Jon (Debbie) Milar of Arizona; hanai daughter, Trisha (Jeffrey) Leong of Nevada; brothers, Robert (Mary) Moniz of Kohala, Eugene (Tani) Moniz of Kailua-Oahu; sister, Dorothy Ventura of Honolulu; one daughter-in-law; one sister-in-law; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
