Sandra Baijo
Sandra Chiyo Baijo, 58, of Kamuela, died June 25, 2018, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born on Jan. 14, 1960, in Honolulu. She was a server at the Moana Surfrider Hotel.
A celebration of life will be on Aug. 24 at Mana Christian Ohana Church in Kamuela. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Services from 1-2 p.m. Lunch to follow. Leis and loose flowers welcome. Casual attire requested.
She is survived by children, Courtney (Napo) Horn, Samantha (Arturo) Martinez, Jasmine (Dustin) Miller, Johana (Alan) Baijo and Jonathan (Rose) Baijo; Sister Toni (Carroll) Hall; and brothers Kerry Jordan, Bryan Jordan and Shannon (Ai) Jordan. nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald Sakuma
Ronald “Pa” Suemasa Sakuma, 84, of Waimea, died July 25, 2018, at Hale Hoola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born in North Kohala on Oct. 20, 1933, he retired as a shift supervisor from Aloha Airlines at Ke Ahole Airport in Kailua-Kona.
Private family services were held.
He is survived by spouse, Nancy Sakuma of Waimea; son, Collin (Pamela) Sakuma of Ewa, Oahu; daughter, Collis (Brian) Freitas of Henderson, Nev.; brother, Seijun (Noriko) Hanashiro of Honolulu; sister, Asano Teruya of Honolulu; numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great grandnephews and great grandnieces.

Dennis Ibanez
Dennis “Kuchi” Kanani Ibanez, Sr., 64, of Hilo, died July 21, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a chef and a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. Aug. 3 at 4 Miles (James Kealoha Beach Park) in Keaukaha for a celebration of his life. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Lori Ann Ibanez; sons, Dennis (Shaylynn) Ibanez, Jr., Kimo (Korrie) Ibanez, Sr.; daughters, Toni (Jon) Salboro, Chassity Yamamoto, Alyn Yamamoto; sister, Rowena Noriega; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Timothy Fleming
Mr. Timothy J. Fleming, 64, of Ocean View, died June 28, 2018, at Kona Community Hospital. Born on April 8, 1954, in Waukegan, Ill., he was a driver for the Hele-On Bus (Roberts Hawaii), cross country truck driver, heavy equipment operator and worked for Ka’u Sugar Plantation.
A celebration of life will be at 9 a.m. Aug. 11 at Hope DIA-mend Ministries, 94-2066 South Point Road in Naalehu. The family requests casual attire.
He is survived by his brother, Michael J. Fleming of Summerfield, Fla.; hanai brother, Henry (Dawna) Waiwaiole of Naalehu; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shirley Denton
Shirley Pena Denton, of Ocean View, died July 27 in Holualoa. Born March 22, 1950, in Olaa, she worked as an office bookkeeper.

Christy Donaldson Daniels, 83, of Volcano, died July 22, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born on July 26, 1934, in Alton, Ill., she was a retired secondary teacher and librarian for Ka’u High School, a U.S. Navy veteran and an avid animal lover.

Vita Suta, 63, of Hilo, died July 15, 2018, at home. Born on Jan. 1, 1955, in Chuuk, Micronesia. She was a member of the Hilo Chuukese Catholic Community.

Hiromi Ota, 77, of Hilo, died July 7, 2018, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Wakayama, Japan, she was retired from the former Pacific Mac Nut Corp. and a member of Hilo Nichiren Mission.
