Tommie Ann Kamae, 54, of Volcano Village, died June 21, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Houston, she was a stay-at-home mom, who was creative both in the kitchen and in her children’s lives.

Alasdair Hoskins
Alasdair Hoskins, 11, of Keaau died June 20, 2018, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a student at St. Joseph Elementary School.

Regino Ojano
Regino Damasco Ojano; aka; Regino Damasco Ojano, Sr. 94, of Hilo; died June 4, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Sept. 8, 1923, in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a retired truck driver for the former Hilo Coast Processing Company. He also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Friends may call again 8-9:30 a.m. July 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. celebration of Mass. Richard Clark
Richard Douglas Clark, 72, of Ocean View, died June 9, 2018, at his residence. Born Oct. 2, 1945, in Washington, Ind., he was an electrician. He was a draftsman, jeweler and owner of South Point Rods. He was a classic vehicle restorer and avid golfer.
Memorial service will be held at noon July 7 at his residence at 92-8370 Tiki Lane in Ocean View.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimber (Robert Rabelo) Clark of New Mexico, Jessica (Noel, Sr.) Espejo and Monica Agpawa of Ocean View; son, N. Marlyn Ann Kelly, 78, of Pahoa, died June 23, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Minnesota and was a homemaker.

Basilio Tagalicod, Jr.
Basilio “Dong” “Tag” Tagalicod, Jr., 61, of Hilo, died June 11, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on July 15, 1956, in Hilo, he was a retired first sergeant in the U.S. Army, a former instructor for Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps and Youth Challenge. He also was a former owner of Island Eruption and a member of United States Bowling Congress (USBC), Hawaii Classic Cruizers and the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Friends may call 4-6 p.m. July 6 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 6 p.m. wake service. Richard Wilfred Santos, 90, of Hilo died on June 11, 2018, at Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home. Born March 16, 1928, in Hilo, he was a retired police captain for the Hawaii County Police Department, former CEO of the ARC of Hilo, Commodore Coast Guard Auxiliary 14 District, Hilo Masonic Lodge 33rd degree, Waiakea Lions, Boy Scout Master for Troop 78. World War II veteran with the US Army Air Corp/US Air Force.

Leslie M. Castro, Sr., 85, of Hilo, died June 26, 2018, in Hilo. Born on July 29, 1932, in Hilo, he was a retired foreman for a lumber yard company.

Henry Tavares, Jr.
Henry J. Tavares, Jr., 55, of Hilo, died on May 31, 2018, at the Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. He was born in Honokaa and was a retired assistant police chief with the Hawaii County Police Department, associate pastor and Church Council Member of Word of God, graduate of the 208th session of the FBI National Academy, member of New Hope Church Hilo, the Hilo Yacht Club, and the Hui Makai Motorcycle Club.
Visitation 3:30-5 p.m. July 26 at New Hope Church, 840 Kupulau Road, Hilo. Celebration of life service at 5 p.m. Casual attire.

Edward “Baka/Baker” Requelman, 81, of Glenwood, died June 10, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Oct. 1, 1936, in Kohala; he was a laborer for Laupahoehoe Sugar Company and a retired Mechanic for the Mac Farms Macadamia of Hawaii in Honomalino. He also was a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard.

Michael Tadashi Nakamura, 72, of Hilo, died June 14, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born June 17, 1945, in Honolulu, he retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Education as an auto mechanics teacher at Hilo High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
