AARP Driver Safety Class offered
An AARP driver safety class will be held 1-5 p.m. on July 30 at the Palisades Rec Center, 73-1073 Kaiminani Drive. Class size is 15-20 and is available to AARP members for $15, non-members for $20.
Please arrive by 12:30-1 p.m. Bring driver’s license and AARP card and payment (cash or check to AARP).

Locals place on Mayville State University Dean’s List
Mayville State University in North Dakota is pleased to announce three students from the Big Island have placed on its spring semester 2018 Dean’s List. Each student maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher with a minimum of 12 greaded credit-hours.
Students receiving this honor are Morgan Lominario of Waikoloa, Evyn Yamaguchi of Kealakekua, and Vohn Yamaguchi of Kealakekua.
Udac gets Whitworth degree
Savannah Udac of Kealakekua has graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Arts in health science.
