Melody McPeek
Melody Kahealani McPeek, 33, died May 9, 2018, in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was born on Oct. 2, 1984, in Schwabmuenchen, Germany.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m. May 27 at the Kawaihae Canoe Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anuhea Kekuku McPeek.
She is survived by father, Steve McPeek; daughters, Malana and Alexis; siblings, Michelle, Mindy, Kawika, and Michelangelo; six nieces and two nephews.

Alvin Hiyane
Mr. Alvin Sakae Hiyane, 76, of Hilo, died May 14, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born on Dec. 19, 1941, in Hakalau, he was retired from H.P.M. Building Supply in Hilvo as a warehouseman and was a member of the Honomu Hongwanji Mission.
Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. May 27 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 3 p.m. memorial service. Casual attire is requested. No flowers.
He is survived by wife, Janice Hiyane of Hilo; daughters, Sandi Hiyane of Henderson, Nev. and Leila Beals of Hilo; sister, Annie Kochan of Hilo; two granddaughters.

Leticia Dela Cruz
Leticia “Lety” Valdez Dela Cruz, 78, of Honokaa, died April 18, 2018, at home. Born on May 23, 1939, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a former nursery worker for Hirako Farms and a former harvester for Watanabe Floral.
Visitation will be held from 8-9:15 a.m. May 26 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Honokaa. Eulogy will begin at 9:15 a.m. followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire and no flowers.
She is survived by husband, Alfredo Dela Cruz of Papaaloa; children, Lyn Dela Cruz of Honokaa, Elvie (Mickey) Nobriga of Waimea, Fe (Cyril) Franco of Papaaloa and Evelyn Dela Cruz of Papaaloa; sisters, Anita Coloma of Honolulu, Oahu and Estrelita Badua of the Philippines; brother, Virgilio Valdez of the Philippines; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson.

Mabel Wilson
Mabel L. Wilson, 73, of Keaau, died April 28, 2018, at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo and was a homemaker, a member of the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Alu Like Kupunas.
Friends may call 5-6:30 p.m. May 25 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6:30 p.m. prayer service. Friends may also call 8-9 a.m. May 26 at the Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a 9 a.m. Mass, followed by cremation. Casual attire.

Yukiko Shimabukuro
Yukiko “Lily” Shimabukuro, 92, of Hilo, died April 22, 2018, at the Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. She was born in Hakalau, and was a retired sales clerk with the former Robert’s Bakery and a member of the Hilo Baptist Church.
Private family services held. No flowers, no koden (monetary donations).
She is survived by sons, Glen Shimabukuro of Hilo and Raymond (Sharlene) Shimabuku of Waipahu; daughters, Karen Shimabukuro of Hilo, Marian (Roy) Shioji of Hilo and Alice Sakihara of Hilo; sister, Elizabeth (Richard) Sakai of Hilo; one daughter-in-law, two sisters-in-law; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Lillian Kimiko Matsubara Ide, 83, of Hilo died May 7, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices. Born in Hilo, she was a retired licensed practical nurse for the former Hilo Hospital and member of the Hospital Retirees Association and Hilo Church of God.
Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no koden.
She is survived by husband, John H. Ide of Hilo; daughters, JoAnn (Joel) Wasson of Kaneohe, Karen (Cesar) Robledo of Hilo; son, John Ide, Jr. of Honolulu; brother, William A. Matsubara of Los Angeles; sister, Susan (Thomas) Kiyojima of Hilo; one sister-in-law; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sandra Namaha Blanco, 67, of Ocean View, died May 15, 2018, at her residence. Born Nov. 29, 1950, in Hilo, she was a supervisor at MacFarms of Hawaii. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. June 2 at her residence, 92-8897 Leilani Parkway in Ocean View for a 10 a.m. funeral service.
