KAILUA-KONA — No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-4.2 earthquake that struck Wednesday morning near the summit of Kilauea Volcano.
The temblor, which occurred at 8:31 a.m., had a registered depth of e.4 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey . The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the earthquake did not generate a tsunami though some areas may have experienced shaking.
