Protect manta rays better

I was quite distressed to hear that another manta ray was injured by propellar blades.

All the tour operators should get together and make the DLNR enforce the ruling that all boats that enter manta ray viewing area have to have propellar guards. After all, they need to protect these creatures that are bringing in money. If too many are cut up or killed by these blades, not only will these operators lose business but soon the environmental groups will protest any manta viewing from taking place.

It’s bad enough that humans invade their territory but we want to profit from their very existence.

I hope DLNR steps up and protects the manta rays and begins enforcing the rules and the propeller guards. Someone has to speak up for creatures that cannot speak for themselves.
