Kikuye Yamashiro
Kikuye Yamashiro, 96, of Hilo, died March 8 at her residence. Born in Hilo, she was a retired laborer for Kau Agriculture and a member of the Hilo Hooganji Mission.
Private services were held.
She is survived by daughters Betsy (Richard) Honda of Las Vegas, Nev., Joyce (Howard) Hashimoto of Kapaau, and Yvonne (Ray) Endo of Kahului; son Wallace (Sandra) Yamashiro of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers Seiwo Tsukenjo of Okinawa and Tetsuya Tsukenjo of Okinawa; sister-in-law Hatsue Teruya of Okinawa; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Fusako Nishikawa
Fusako “Fuzzy” M. Nishikawa, 92, of Hilo, died Apr. 3, 2018, on Oahu. Born in Honolulu, she was retired from the State Department of Taxation in Hilo and was a member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
Friends may call 9–10 a.m. May 5 at the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin; memorial service at 10. Casual attire.
Survived by sons, Nelson (Lois) Nishikawa of Pukalani, Maui, Michael (Noreen) Nishikawa of Kapolei, Oahu, Clayton (Linn) Nishikawa of Wailuku, Maui; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces &nephews.

Christine Ching
Christine Keola Ching, 51, of Hilo, died April 11, 2018, at Hawaii Care Choices’ Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Nov. 2, 1966, in Kaneohe, she worked for 25 years for the Hawaii Community Correctional Center as an adult corrections officer and was an avid sportsperson.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on May 5 at Waiuli Beach Park. Casual attire.
Survived by spouse, Kalua Kealoha-Ching; step-son, Paikea Kealoha; mother, Mary Ching of Kawaihae; brother, Christian Ching, Jr. of Ocala, Fla.; sisters, Viclynn (Ollie) Germano of Mt. View and Lori (Woody) Nahalea of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
