21 nabbed for suspected DUI

Hawaii Island police arrested 21 motorists for suspected drunken driving between April 16 and Sunday. Six of those drivers were involved in a traffic crash and one was younger than age 21.

paul, the “liberal” judges don’t have any discretion on sentencing, they are required to follow guidelines set by the legislature. The sentences are prescribed by law. It’s not their choice.
WHT keeps using “drunken driving” as a catch phrase. That implies impaired facilities.
The reality is, how many of those arrested were truly impaired? Of just failed a BAC test because of a ridiculously low arbitrary number foisted on politicicians by the harridans of MADD? There have been MADD types that seem to think that looking forward to a beer when you get home is impaired driving and should be illegal.
I see impaired drivers every day, yapping on cell phones, eating, doing everything but drive. Safer to be driving near someone that had a couple glasses of wine with dinner rather than some old woman yammering or texting on her iPhag phone.
Wow.
