Haruo Takasaki
Haruo Takasaki, 91, of Umauma, died April 3, 2018, at home. He was born in Ninole and was a retired mechanic with the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., member of the Honohina Hongwanji Mission, member and past president of the Fukuoka Kenjin Kai and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Private family services were held. No koden.
He is survived by his wife, Mitsuko Takasaki of Umauma; daughters, Caroline E. (Hideaki) Doi of Umauma, Doris H. (George) Araki of Umauma and Janice M. (Miles) Nakatsu of Hilo; son, Wayne H. Takasaki of Hilo; sister, Reiko Nakazawa of California; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Leroy Gomes
Leroy Herman Gomes, 56 of Pahoa, died April 11, 2018, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on June 8, 1961, in Honolulu, he was a school bus driver for Robert’s Hawaii and Laupahoehoe Transportation.

Charles; Sons, Cheyenne Charles and Anthony Charles; brothers, Edward (Donna Haunani Ermitano) Gomes III, Donald (Jennifer) Gomes, Vernon Gomes, and Lewellyn Gomes; sisters, Kathleen Gomes, Darlene (Emilio) Villanueva, and Monica (Marcus Sr.) Gouveia; six grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Annie Camacho
Annie Rubio Camacho, 94, of Hilo, died April 16, 2018, at her residence. Born on Sept. 2, 1923, in Paauilo, she was a retired supervisor for Hawaiian Telephone Company and also was a member of the FCE (Family and Community Education) Hoike Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Hawaii.
Friends may call from 8-10 a.m. April 24, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. celebration of Mass. Casual attire; burial to follow at Alae Cemetery Section (C).
She is survived by daughter, Rhonda Ellis of Michigan; sons, Evan G. Camacho of California and Vance Camacho of Hilo; sisters, Dorothy Ah Sing of Hilo, Shirley Cecconi of Tennessee and Rose Marie Martinez of Oahu; brother, Robert Rubio of Maine; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
