“Way of the Cross” starts March 25

In preparation for Resurrection Sunday, Grace Community Church, 74-4889 Palani Road, invites the public to journey the “Way of the Cross,” a free, self-guided meditative tour, March 25 through April 1, sunrise to sunset.

The journey begins at “The Garden of Gethsemane,” where Christ Jesus prayed in agony over the impending suffering and death he knew was to come. Participants may follow the map of his trek laid out around the church property, where they will discover signage and articles to help them understand the magnitude of his sacrifice. The tour takes 30 to 45 minutes.

The journey ends at the cross and garden tomb, where the tomb will be sealed by the large tombstone.

On the Saturday evening before Easter Sunday, the stone covering the tomb will be rolled back. A Sunday Easter Service will be held April 1 at 9 a.m. in the Grace Community Church Pavilion and then a special communion service will follow around the garden tomb. Everyone is welcome!
