Yep my friends, as you read this column it is Christmas Day. Hope you have a wonderful day with friends and family! Hope the Claus is good to you today. How else can you know whether you’ve been naughty or nice?
When a father asked his small son what he wanted for Christmas, he replied, “A baby sister!” Unbeknownst to the boy, his mother was pregnant and delivered a couple days before Christmas. On Christmas Day she brought home a brand new sister for their son. The next year when the father asked his son what he wanted for Christmas, the boy said, “If it wouldn’t make mommy too uncomfortable, I’d really like a pony!”
A young girl is sitting on Santa’s laptop at the mall and is overheard saying to Santa, “OK, you see me when I’m sleeping, you know when I’m awake, and if you really know when I’ve been bad or good, well you have to be following me on Twitter, right?”
A friend was exchanging funny stories with me yesterday. She said her husband gave her an anniversary card with the following message: “All you really need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt!”
Wife to her husband after cleaning the house for a Christmas party: “I have blisters on my hands from the broom!” Husband replies, “Next time, silly, take the car!” Yep, and then the fight began!
You know I gotta have a medical-kine joke! While working as a student nurse, a young man found an elderly man dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase in hand. He insisted that he didn’t need help to leave the hospital. After a chat about rules, big rules, he reluctantly let the nurse wheel him to the elevator. On the way down the nurse asked him if his wife was meeting him. “I don’t know,” he said, “She’s still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown!”
This song, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” has a Hawaiian slant that I hope you all enjoy: “I’ll be home for scuba, surf and sea for me. Just have snacks, ’n ice old bey; a wetsuit by the tree! On da eve you’ll find me, with the surfer’s teams. Clean my room ’n dump the trash? Ma, only in your dreams!” Now gather around the piano and all sing together!
