Parkinson’s and Neuroplasticity Wellness Circle of Support will meet from 1—2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Individuals with Parkinson’s and other neurological challenges, along with their partners or caregivers, are encouraged to attend this support group/talk story. The discussion focuses on personal experiences, community and PD-related topics including current research. This group welcomes new and visiting participants and medical professionals.
Plant-based Hui &Potluck will start at 5 p.m. Wednesday with Vivienne Aronowitz, a registered dietician and certified diabetes educator. This month the group will view the “Forks Over Knives” film. The intention is to create a like-minded health and wellness plant-based hui and potluck meeting at Tutu’s House the second Wednesday of each month. All are welcome, from experienced vegans to beginners. Bring a copy of the recipe for the dish you bring with no ingredients from animals including meat, fish, poultry, eggs or dairy. Also bring your own plate, bowl and utensils to use for zero-waste mindfulness.
Freedom from Pain Support Group will meet from noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday and Dec. 28 with Cynthia Magg, an EFT practitioner. Say “adios” to aches and pains that deplete energy and disrupt life. Join this weekly EFT tapping support group. Whether pain is old, new, acute, injury or disease-related, the quality of life can be improved. Weekly sessions are combined with mind-body-emotions concepts that will empower participants to access their body’s innate ability to self-heal. No prior EFT experience is necessary.
Harmony for Health with Richard Adoradio will come gather from 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday. Singing in harmony produces benefits not only for the mind and body but also for building a well-bonded community. Led by a local music instructor, all are welcome to join in this casual group singing experience, where popular, feel-good songs will be sung in simple, easy to follow harmonies. No singing experience is necessary.
