Residents, including Neighborhood Watch and CERT group members, are urged to attend an informational presentation led by HEMA from 6-7:30 p.m. tonight at North Hawaii Community Hospital’s Mauna Loa-Mauna Kea Room about Waimea’s new emergency attack warning signal. Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HEMA), formally known as Hawaii State Civil Defense Agency, will sound and incorporate the new signal into the regular First of the Month test of the Emergency Alert Siren System at 11:45 a.m. this Friday.
