The Kailua Village Artists Gallery is celebrating its 30th anniversary as a cooperative gallery during 2017.

From 5-7 p.m. Friday, the public is welcome to join the group in celebration during its all member artists reception at the gallery in the Kona Marketplace,75-5729 Alii Drive, Ste. C-110. There will be live music and refreshments.

KVA Gallery is now the oldest surviving cooperative gallery in Hawaii. Over the past 30 years, the cooperative upheld its standard of featuring a variety of fine and eclectic art made by local artists from the Big Island.

Since the beginning, it has been managed and run by its artist members.

KVA’s objective is to find ways to collectively bring locally made art work before the public and mutually share the costs of promoting and selling art. Each artist has his or her own vision of art, inspired by the unique island they live on and is reflected in their work.

The gallery features a diverse collection of reasonably priced art.

The gallery is open 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily.
