The state’s largest carrier has led all U.S. airlines in on-time performance for each of the past 13 years.
An airline is considered “on time” if it arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled arrival time.
Delta Air Lines was second at 87.4 percent while Alaska Airlines was third at 82.8 percent. The national average for the 12 reporting carriers was 77.1 percent.
Hawaiian also ranked second in fewest flight cancellations in July with 0.3 percent, representing 21 cancellations out of 7,280 flights, and was second in fewest consumer complaints with 0.70, or a total of seven, per 100,000 passengers.
The state’s largest carrier ranked seventh for fewest mishandled baggage reports with 2.26 per 1,000 passengers. That represented a total of 2,110 baggage reports for 934,948 passengers.
