HILO – The Hawaii Department of Transportation said the Keaau-Pahoa Road, 4-Lane re-striping project from Keaau Town to Shower Drive will begin Saturday. The department will remove rumble strips in preparation for the project.

HILO – The Hawaii Department of Transportation said the Keaau-Pahoa Road, 4-Lane re-striping project from Keaau Town to Shower Drive will begin Saturday. The department will remove rumble strips in preparation for the project.

Temporary pavement markings restoring the existing 3-lane configuration will be installed following the preparation work.

The permanent lane markings creating 4-lanes on Highway 130 between Mile Post 2 and Mile Post 4 are scheduled to be completed later this year.
