Family Support Group facilitated by Community Children’s Council will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. this Wednesday. Parents and caregivers of especially challenging children support each other by sharing their successes and challenges. Facilitators provide information on community, state and national resources and guidance on how best to navigate the systems of care for better outcomes for their child and family.
Domestic Violence Awareness will be shared from 11 a.m.-noon this Thursday by South Kohala Community Police Officer May Lee. October is Domestic Violence (DV) Awareness month. All community members are encouraged to attend this educational talk about what DV is, resources available for victims and what can be done to help alleviate this issue that affects the community.
