KAILUA-KONA — A tree fell on Highway 19 near mile marker 52 and White Road in South Kohala, temporarily closing the road in both directions.

KAILUA-KONA — A tree fell on Highway 19 near mile marker 52 and White Road in South Kohala, temporarily closing the road in both directions.

Traffic is being routed to Kamuela Street via Hawaiian Homes and Mana Road in Kamuela.

The expected road closure time is 2.5 hours, according to a county press release sent out around 12:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
