WAIMEA — Tim Holschuh, a registered nurse in the hospital’s intensive care unit, has been named North Hawaii Community Hospital’s employee of the quarter.
Holschuh has worked at NHCH for 16 years and was recognized for his proactive and compassionate nursing at a hospital ceremony with co-workers on Sept. 19.
“Tim always advocates for our patients and puts patients first,” said Cindy Kamikawa, NHCH’s president. “Supervisors and co-workers agreed that he is a pleasure to work with and that his positive attitude and confidence are comforting for patients and their families, so important in a unit which cares for the hospital’s sickest patients.”
Holschuh was also recognized for his strong teamwork, his calm and friendly manner and his efforts toward improving care for patients such as with the recent implementation of telemedicine in the ICU.
