Yiuzo Nii
Mr. Yiuzo Nii, 95, of Hilo, died Aug. 17, 2017, at the Leahi Hospital on Oahu. Born Feb. 9, 1922, in Papaikou, he was a retired bridge maintenance worker for the State of Hawaii.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Sept. 16, 2017, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 10 a.m. memorial service. Casual attire.
He is survived by daughter, Janice (Patrick) Chong of Honolulu; sister, Nancy (Nobuo) Matsui of Hilo; grandsons, Jared Chong of Honolulu and Ryan Chong of Honolulu.

Nancy Nakaishi
Nancy Fumie Nakaishi, 90, of Hilo, died at the Hilo Medical Center on Sept. 3, 2017. Born in Hilo, she was a bookkeeper and accountant for over 60 years, earlier with the Richard Nip Management Corp., then in private practice for the past 30 years.
Friends may call 10-11 a.m. at the Dodo Mortuary chapel Sept. 17, for a 11 a.m. memorial service. Casual attire and no flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Morris K. Nakaishi of Hilo; son, Russell A. (Beryl) Nakaishi of Westminster, Calif.; brother, Jack Yoshio (Sachiko) Higa of Anaheim, Calif.; sister, Shirley I. (Herb) Enomoto-Ota of Honolulu; two granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.

Russ Pama
Russ Pama, 51, of Lynwood, Wash., died Aug. 9, 2017, in Everett, Wash. Born Sept. 12, 1965, in Kealakekua, he was employed with Jamco America in Everett.
Visitation and eulogy will be 4-5:30 p.m. Sept.22 with prayer service to follow at St. John the Baptist church in Kealakekua.
Russ is predeceased in death by father, Philip Pama, Sr.
He is survived by brother, Philip Pama, Jr.; sisters, Phyllis Pama, Paulette Pama, Davolyn (Arnold Bannister) Pama, Lavern (William Alapai) Pama Alapai; hanai-sister, Lori Y. Tokumura; two nephews; seven nieces; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Genevieve Sam
Mrs. Genevieve Leilani Sam, 76, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 4, 2017, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kohala on Feb. 9, 1941, she was an accountant at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. She was a business owner of Leeward Vacuum.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. Sept. 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi with a 10 a.m. funeral service and burial to follow at the Hawi County Cemetery. Luncheon and fellowship will be held at the Corrales’ hale, 53-4234 Akoni Pule Hwy, Kapaau. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Sam of Kailua-Kona; sons, Bradden Sugse of Kohala, Lennon (Florence) Sugse of Maui, Gregory Sugse of Kohala, Tony Sugse of Waimea, Guy (Kathy) Maeda and Dale (Aesha) Maeda, all of Wahiawa, Oahu; daughters, Darlene (Vic) Paracuelles of Waipahu, Oahu, and Salena (Keola) Kaawa of Ka’u; brothers, Anthony (Basilia) Corrales and Darrell (Amber) Corrales, all of Kohala; hanai brother, Charles (Cindy) Corrales of Mount Shasta, Calif.; hanai sisters, Caren (Gary) Hisaoka of Honolulu, and Cora (David) Bailey of Green Bay, Wisc.; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kenichi Shigeoka
Mr. Ken Kenichi Shigeoka, 89, of Hilo, died Aug. 21, 2017, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born April 18, 1928, in Keaau, he was retired from the former M. Sonomura Contracting Company in Hilo as a foreman.
Private services were held. No flowers. No koden.
He is survived by wife, Margie Shigeoka of Hilo; son, Craig (Claire) Shigeoka of Hilo; daughters, Gwenn Tomiyoshi of Hilo and Debbie (Ken) Hanagami of Hilo; sister, Asae Kumiji of Hilo; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
