Big Island Sportsman’s Challenge to benefit Boy Scouts set for Sept. 23

Camp Honokaia in Honokaa will be the location for Boy Scouts of America’s Shooting Adventure fundraising event from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sept. 23. The event was created as a fun way for adults to raise funds for camp improvements. Archery, 22 rifle target, shotgun trap, 22 rifle small gong and a tomahawk throw will be among the activities.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by scouting exhibits, lunch, the Sportsman Challenge at 1:30 p.m. and an awards ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Individuals and companies can be event sponsors.
