Dennis Davis
Dennis Preston Davis, 76, of Kapoho, died Aug. 1, 2017, at his residence. Born Jan. 21, 1941, in Pasadena, California, he was a proprietor for architectural services and U.S. Army veteran.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by partner, Paul Crawford, of Kapoho; and numerous nieces, grand-nieces and cousins.

Mavis LeBlanc
Mavis Lillian LeBlanc, 93, of Waimea, died Aug. 17, 2017. She was a seamstress and teacher of yoga.
A service is planned to be held in October.
She is survived by daughters, Paula Beamer, of Waimea, and Lisa Brunner (Randall) Ashby, of Port Townsend, Washington; son, Glenn Gorecki, of Oceanside, California; sister, Gloria Romanus, of Bloomington, Illinois; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Hatsuno Fujimoto
Hatsuno “Lillian” Fujimoto, age 87, of Hilo and formerly of Ninoole, died Aug. 18, 2017, at her residence. Born Dec. 18, 1929, in Ninole, she was employed by the State of Hawaii, retiring from the Hilo Medical Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Electrocardiogram (E.K.G.) Technician; and member of Honohina Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Senior Citizen Bowling League, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Pomaikai Club.
Private services held. No flowers. No Koden (monetary offerings).
She is survived by daughters, Audrey Asato and Pearl (Ron) Yamamoto, all of Hilo; brothers, Yoichi Oba, of Papaikou, Harold (Lily) Oba, of California, and Charles (Helen) Oba, of Hilo; sisters, Shigeno (Takeshi) Kawamoto, of Papaikou, Harriet (Jim) Huber, of Nevada, Gladys Lopez, of Hilo, and Karen (Rich) Davis, of California; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

John Johnson
John Franklin “Frank” Johnson, 88, of Hawi, died Aug, 7, 2017, at Kohala Hospital. Born in Chatanooga, Tennessee, he was a retired agriculturist with the former Hawaii Sugar Planters Association, U.S. Marine Corps veteran and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi.
Private services held.
He is survived by wife, Marian Johnson, of Hawi; brothers-in-law, Urban Carvalho of Pensacola, Florida, Lionel (Laurine) Carvalho, of Volcano, and Glenn Carvalho, of Pepeekeo; sister-in-law, Patricia Thornberg, of Junction City, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews.
