Artemio Tagalicud
Artemio Agno Tagalicud, 65, of Keaau, died Aug. 8, 2017 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Aug. 22, 1951, in Sarat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a proprietor of a papaya farm in Pahoa.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. on Aug. 31 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service; an all-night vigil to follow at the family residence at 17-183 Palaai St. in Keaau after 9 p.m. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. on Sept. 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire, flowers are welcome.
He is survived by wife, Premia Taglicud, of Keaau; daughter, Nora Lynn (Mario) Castro, of Honolulu; son, Alexander (Daisy) Tagalicud, of Keaau; mother, Briginia Tagalicud, of Pahoa; three grandchildren; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Norberta Jara
Norberta Savellano Jara, 95, of Naalehu, died Aug. 14, 2017, at her residence in Hilo. Born Oct. 31, 1921, in Sisim, Cabugao, Philippines, she was a homemaker and a member of the Naalehu Assembly of God.
Friends may call at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 at the family residence (95-5530 Mamalahoa Highway) in Naalehu for a 7 p.m. service; all-night vigil to follow. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. on Sept. 2 at the family residence for a 10 a.m. service. Burial at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Casual attire, flowers are welcome.
She is survived by daughter, Carlina (Andres) Dela Cruz, of Green Sands; sons, Aurelio (Carmelita) Jara, of Naalehu, and Tranquilino Jr. (Alice) Jara, of Wahiawa, Oahu; 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Aurea Alminar Arde, 91, of Paauilo and formerly of Lakeland, Waimea, died July 22, 2017, at her residence. Born March 11, 1926, in Bongtolan, Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines; she was retired from Kawamata Farms.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. on Sept. 2 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire,no flowers.

Sudsanguan Nelson
An additional visitation has been set for Aug. 30 from 2-5 p.m. at the Orchid Thai Restaurant in Kailua-Kona. Nelson was also the owner of Su’s Thai Kitchen.
