Chieko Medeiros
Chieko “Caroline” Medeiros, 95, of Hilo, died Aug. 13, 2017, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a housewife.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m. Friends may also call at 10 a.m. on Aug. 31 for a visitation at the chapel. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire; flowers are welcome.
She is survived by sons, MacArthur Medeiros, Roy (Margaret) Nuniez, and Douglas (Johnna) Medeiros, all of Hilo; daughter, Charlene (Tony) Wamar, of Hawaiian Paradise Park; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

David Schamber
David M. Schamber, 82, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 13, 2017, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born March 11, 1935, in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was a retired auditor for the state Unemployment Insurance Division, a field examiner for the Federal Home Loan Bank; senior vice president-cashier for Security National Bank of Anchorage; branch manager of Alaska USA Federal Credit Union at Clark Air Base, Philippines, international Branch Manager for First Republic Bancorp in San Francisco, California, and U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean War.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. on Sept. 2 at Mokuaikaua Congregational Church in Kailua-Kona for a 10 a.m. service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation on his behalf may be made to Life Care Center of Hilo at 944 W. Kawailani St. Hilo, HI 96720.
He is survived by wife, Ofelia Schamber, of Kailua-Kona; sons, David Schamber, of Austin,Texas, Steven Schamber, of Auburn, California, Dean-Paul (Anna Northrop) Schamber, of Kailua-Kona, and Davie-John Schamber, of San Francisco; daughters, Nicole (Shane) Forsi, of Scappoose, Oregon, and Alison (Mike) Sharp, of Citrus Heights, California; brother, Dean (Sharon) Schamber, of Kailua, Oahu; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Howard Cambra
Howard G. Cambra, 85, of Mountain View, died Aug. 9, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Glover and Willocks, owner of Peck Road Ranch and an original member of the Hawaii Cattle Producers Cooperative Association.
No services. No flowers and koden “monetary donations.”
He is survived by companion, Irene Greenhouse; hanai daughter, Cori-Anne; hanai son, Barry (Christine); three grandchildren; and a niece.
