Padinant Ster

Padinant “Jume” Thiensuwana Ster, 61, of Holualoa, died July 11, 2017, at her residence. Born Feb. 1, 1956, in Bangkok, Thailand, she was a homemaker, artist, surfer, jewelry designer and fashion consultant.

Friends may call at 3 p.m. Aug. 26 at Pine Trees Beach Kona.

She is survived by husband, Joseph Ster, of Holualoa; mother, Chaveewana Thiensuwana; brothers, Vichanant Thiensuwana, of California, and Dhamarata Thiensuwana, of Thailand; uncle, Mu Jeera Rhtanangkoon, of Kona.

Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

Frances McKenna

Frances McKenna, 91, of Phoenix, Arizona, died Aug. 3, 2017. Born in Wyoming, she resided in Kailua-Kona from 1992-2015, and was a retired Air Force employee.

No local services are planned at this time.

She is survived by husband, Austin “Mac” McKenna; brother, Glen Silburn; son, Brian (Cheryle) O’Brien; Chuck Makanui and Myra Aina-Paul, of Hilo; two grandsons and one great-grandson.

Florence Googins

Florence Frances Googins, 88, of Keaau, died Aug. 15, 2017, at her residence. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired budget analyst with the federal government.

Private family services were held.

She is survived by sons, Richard (Teri) Wooten, of Colorado, Michael Forsythe, of Kentucky, James (Kathy) Googins, of Keaau, and Irving (Marcela) Googins, of California; daughters, Karen Brandi and Jane (Frank) Kier, both of Texas; brother, Donald (Louise) Mendonca, of New Mexico; sister, Barbara Shores, of New Mexico; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
