Marvin Harrison
Marvin Thomas Harrison, 90, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 15, 2017 at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 11, 1927, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was a mechanic for Yellow Freight, owner of MTH Yard Services, and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. on Aug. 25 at Living Stones Church for a service.
He is survived by wife, Soklang Harrison, of Kailua-Kona; sons, William Harrison, Marvin Harrison, and Daryl (Lisa) Harrison; daughter, Denise (Michael) Parker; brothers, Ronald (April) Goings, Larry (Mattie) Goings, and Joseph (Jacqueline) Goings; sisters, Edith (Robert) Price, Beverly Walker, Annette Whiteside and Marsha (Moses) Wilson; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Madeleine “Grandma Carol” Halverson Labuguen Pavao, 71, of Pahoa, died Aug. 10, 2017, at her residence. Born Jan. 2, 1946, in Honolulu, she worked at Pearl City Car Wash in Honolulu and Waianae High School.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. on Aug. 29 at Dodo Motuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial to follow at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2, section A. Casual attire.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara (Wesley) Kobayashi and Cindy (Allen) Battiest, both of Pahoa; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Kikuko “Nancy” Marumoto, 83, of Hilo, died Aug. 1, 2017, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Nov. 19, 1933, in Hilo, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by son, Keith (Jowett) Marumoto, of Hilo; daughters, Mavis Hagiwara and Lela Yago, both of Hilo; brothers, Walter (Amy) Tachibana and Clyde (Caron) Tachibana, both of Hilo; sister,s Lynn (Alben) Namihira and Gayle (Harold) Yamamoto, both of Hilo; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
