KOHALA COAST — Hospitality veteran Rodney Ito has been promoted to managing director, Mauna Lani Resort. He will oversee operations for the 341-room Mauna Lani Bay Hotel &Bungalows, Mauna Lani Spa and Sports &Fitness Club, along with the Francis H. Ii Brown Courses and other assets.
As a seasoned hotelier and veteran executive in the hospitality industry, Ito brings decades of senior management leadership experience to Mauna Lani. He has been at the helm at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel &Bungalows since 2014 as general manager of the hotel, spa and sports &fitness club.
Prior to his tenure at Mauna Lani Bay, Ito was general manager at Waikoloa Beach Marriott, director of operations for Marriott International’s JW Marriott Ihilani Resort &Spa and Waikiki Beach properties, as well as area director of operations, North Asia, Hawaii &South Pacific.
