Creative Lab Hawaii plans meet and greet
Come and find out about future Creative Lab Hawaii programs coming to the Big Island in 2018 on Thursday in Kailua-Kona.
Representatives from the State of Hawaii Creative Industries Division, the program’s Executive Director Michael Palmieri, and CLH Writers Immersive fellow Amy Bircher and Walter Dods III will be on hand to share information and answer questions from 5-7 p.m. at Honua Studios, 73-4855 Kanalani St.
Bircher, a resident of the Big Island and a current fellow in our Writers Immersive program, just optioned her screenplay, “Victorian Christmas,” to producers in Hollywood who are intent on making it with the Hallmark television network.
Dods, along with his Oahu based writing partner, Chris McKinney, were picked up by The Gersh Agency who represented their series “The Aina” to Hollywood producers, studios and networks.
Creative Lab Hawaii was founded in 2012 by the state Creative Industries Division to develop an ecosystem to increase export, attract investment and build the state’s creative entrepreneurial capacity.
