‘Finding Solutions, Growing Peace’ series continues
Nonprofit Kuikahi Mediation Center hosts a free talk on Thursday as part of its “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” Brown Bag Lunch Series.
Talks are held from noon-1 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney at 655 Kilauea Avenue in Hilo.
This month’s speaker is Catherine Lampton who will discuss “Mastering the Challenges of Listening.”
“Listening is one of the most misunderstood and complex phenomena in the human body. Most people think listening and hearing are the same, but they are not,” said Lampton. “Discover your ‘Listening Gap’ and how you can use it to improve your relationships and significantly reduce conflict in your life.”
Kuikahi’s Brown Bag Lunch Series is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch, enjoy an informal and educational talk-story session, and meet others interested in “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace.”
This lunch-and-learn series is made possible thanks in part to funding from the Atherton Family Foundation.
