Alan Mitsuru Suzuki, 69, of Honokaa, died July 7, 2017, at his residence. Born April 14, 1948, in Honolulu, he was a retired accountant for Certified Grocers in California and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by wife, Angela Suzuki, of Honokaa; son, Kenji Suzuki, of Honokaa; and sister, Jane (Dean) Akita, of Honolulu.

Claire Riblett
Claire Leland Riblett, 62, of Ocean View, died July 25, 2017. Born Oct. 16, 1954, in Lincoln, Nebraska, he worked doing maintenance of commercial property.

He is survived by wife, Laura; daughter, Codee Cruz, of Ocean View; sister Carol (Del) Hart, of Apache Junction, Arizona; and one grandchild.

Rosario Medina Alarcon, 97, of Honaunau, died July 29, 2017, at her residence. Born Jan. 14, 1920, in Mexico City, Mexico, she was a homemaker.

Clark Richard Brand, 61, of Kailua-Kona, died July 14, 2017, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 12, 1955, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, he was an auto mechanic.

Edna “Ella” Fook Tai Francisco, 85, of Hawi, died July 2, 2017, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born March 23, 1932, in Makapala, she was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
