The hotel is one of only six in the country with a SEP certification, all within the Hilton portfolio.
Hilton Waikoloa Village programs include HI-5 beverage container recycling, bailing press cardboard recovery and energy-saving measures that eliminate 15 percent in electricity usage to creative food waste programs where clean and reliable food sources — over 30 tons per month — are provided, while reducing wet waste into trash compactors and a partnership with a local biodiesel organization, helping recycle 500-750 gallons of cooking oil monthly.
