Nonprofit Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii will host a legal clinic from 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 19 in the Waimea Elementary School cafeteria. The service is free for low and moderate income families. The deadline to qualify is Aug. 4 and to make an appointment.

Nonprofit Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii will host a legal clinic from 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 19 in the Waimea Elementary School cafeteria. The service is free for low and moderate income families. The deadline to qualify is Aug. 4 and to make an appointment.

Volunteer attorneys and staff will be on hand offering legal advice on family law, such as divorce, child custody, support, guardianship and adoption; district court including landlord-tenant and consumer debt collections; estate planning for wills, power of attorney, and health care directive; veterans’ benefits; and Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Walk-ins will be accepted based on availability, but there is no guarantee. To reserve a spot in advance call 313-8210 or 528-7046.
