WAIMEA — North Hawaii Community Hospital will host Kukulu Ola Hou, a Native Hawaiian medicine seminar for health care providers, on Wednesday from 5– 6:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Mauna Kea-Mauna Loa room. This free seminar is open to health care providers from throughout the island.
The talk will be presented by Kealoha Fox, PhD. She will reconstruct the Native Hawaiian medical inventory based on traditional and contemporary Kanaka Oiwi classifications of illness and disease.
Fox has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a certificate in Hawaiian/Pacific Studies, a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a doctorate in biomedical sciences.
