KBXtreme hosts a Karaoka-A-Thon this weekend to raise funds to support former Hawaiian Idol winner Victor Soma, who is battling acute leukemia.

The 12-hour event runs from 2 p.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Monday at KBXtreme, located in the Frame 10 Center in Kailua-Kona. Participants pay $2 per song and there will be a silent auction also benefiting Soma, who won Hawaiian Idol in 2015. There will also be prizes for those who sing the most.

A GoFundMe page has been established for Soma online at www.gofundme.com/victor-soma. As of this week, nearly $2,000 had been raised.

Because the event is being held in the karaoke lounge, it is for those age 21 and older only.
