Tomiko Mine
Tomiko Kato Mine, 93, of Hilo, died July 9, 2017, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Wailea, she was a retired bank teller for the former Pioneer Federal Savings, sales clerk at former Smartwear and member of the Hilo Coast United Church of Christ in Honomu.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. on July 20, 2017, at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by son, Claton (Jodi) Mine, of Kurtistown; daughter, Shari (Russell) Chapman, of Littleton, Colorado; brother, Terry (Trudy) Kishimoto, of Westminster, California; two granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Faye Nihau-Yanos
Faye Kaleo’okalani Nihau-Yanos, 61, of Pepeekeo, died June 25, 2017, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. on July 21, 2017, at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 11 a.m. July 22, 2017, at Alae Cemetery for a graveside committal service. The family requests casual attire. Flowers should be omitted.
She is survived by son, Ernest (Amy) Bautista Jr., of Pepeekeo; daughters, Alicia (Sonny) Bautista, of Hilo, and Desiree (David) Yancy, of Waikoloa; brothers, John (Diane) Nihau, Joseph Nihau and Phillip Nihau, all of Hilo, and Henry (Susan) Nihau, George (Sue) Nihau and Noah Nihau, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Janet Simmons, Shirley Golden and Maize (Chris) Lievens, all of Hilo, and Julie Nihau, of Arizona; nine grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lorna “Mima” Morene Lorenzo, 73, of Pahoa, died July 7, 2017, at her home. Born in Mill Valley, California, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by daughter, Linnea (Ronald Christoph) Lorenzo; step-children, Luana (John) Lorenzo, April (Kawika) Lorenzo, Ana Marie (Phillip) Petschow and Vincent (Bill) Lorenzo; sister, Anne (Greg) Wittenmeier; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
