NRA grant to fund youth clay target shooting
Two National Rifle Association Foundation grants awarded to On Target, Inc., an island-based nonprofit, will enhance the organization’s ability to deliver safe and responsible shooting education and recreational programs to the community.
Fourteen new Remington shotguns were acquired in a mix of stock and barrel lengths to accommodate both adult and youth shooters. They will be employed in On Target’s Basic Shotgun Shooting instruction program, and support the Island’s Scholastic Clay Target Program team.
The clay target shooting activity is designed for young people, fifth-grade through college. It has 20,000 youth participants nationwide.
