Eletta Llanes

Eletta “Mary” Hope Llanes, 64, of Waimea died June 18, 2017, at her family’s residence. Born May 3, 1953, in North Kona, she was a certified nurse’s assistant and a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Visitation will be at 8 a.m. July 8 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona with an 11 a.m. Mass and burial will follow in St. Paul’s Catholic Church cemetery on St. Paul Road in Honalo. The family requests casual attire worn and flowers are welcome.

She is survived by daughters, Jherika Acol of Kawaihae, Bobbie Acol of Kona, and Elisha (Jesse Perry) Acol of Waimea; brothers, David (Edwina) Llanes, Antone (Frances) Llanes, Kenneth (Bernette) Llanes, Ruben (Mary Jane) Llanes, Donald Llanes, Rudy (Lynn) Llanes, Freddie Llanes, and Gerard (Karen) Llanes, all of Kona; sisters Gerilyn Llanes, Angela Llanes and Vanessa Llanes, also of Kona; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mildred Smith

Mildred Dorothy Smith, 99, of Hilo died June 30, 2017, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.

A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. July 12 at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.

She is survived by daughter, Mildred Kabalis of Hilo; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Monica Caoagas Pacris died June 17, 2017. She was born June 3, 1920, in Masisit, Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, Philippines. An incorrect birth place was previously published because or information provided to the newspaper.
