The sixth annual volunteer fireman’s pancake breakfast will be held from 7-10 a.m. on the Fourth of July at the Palisades Community Center.
Proceeds benefit the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation. For a $5 donation, enjoy pancakes, sausage, bacon, an orange wedge, orange juice and coffee.
There will also be a baking contest. The four categories are cookies or squares, cakes, dessert pies (no meat) or open sweets for any entry that does not meet the other categories. There is a $5 entry fee per category. Three exact sets of the dessert must be provided (3 dozen cookies, 3 cakes, etc.) One will be used by the judges, the others will be sold. Drop off entries at 6 p.m. Monday at the pavilion.
