KAILUA-KONA — Highway 19 is partially closed between Paauilo and Ookala due to a brush fire Monday afternoon.
At 4:30 p.m. the Civil Defense sent out an email stating the roadway was closed at mile marker 32 and no detour was available. The roadway was shut down in both directions.
According to Hawaii police one lane is now open to travel.
