Lillian Bungula

Chaslen Caravalho

Chaslen Poliahi Hanae Caravalho (Igarashi), 34, of Honokaa died May 23, 2017, at home.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate her life from 2-5 p.m. June 11 at the Hawi Jodo Mission Hall in Kohala.

She is survived by husband, Kolby Caravalho; sons, Chansten Isabel-Igarashi, Kolten Caravalho; daughter, Kaydance Caravalho; mother, Ernella (Arnold) Matsuda; father, Clyde Igarashi; sister, Clynel; brothers, Itchy, Anten, Arllen; and grandmothers, Luella Puahala, Shirley Igarashi.

Travis Serquina

Travis Francisco Serquina, 31, of Keaau died May 15, 2017, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born on Maui, he was employed by K&J Services.

A celebration of his life will take place from noon to 5 p.m. June 11 at the Wailoa State Park, large pavilion. Casual attire.

He is survived by son, Kamaka Serquina of Honolulu; mother, Franciana Serquina of Honolulu; sister, Kaiya (Paul Banasihan) Serquina-Banasihan of Keaau; brother, Justin Carineo of Kauai; maternal grandparents, Frank and Lei Carineo of Kauai; numerous number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Miriam Shinn

Miriam “Mimi” Margaret Shinn, 75, of Honokaa died Feb. 24, 2017, at her residence. Born March 30, 1941, in Riverside, Calif., she was a community developer who worked internationally, the author of “Outback Odyssey” and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of life will be held on June 24 in Riverside, Calif. Condolences may be sent to R. Baker at P.O. Box 352, Honokaa, Hawaii 96727.

She is survived by sons, Mark Shinn of Cardiff, Calif., Nathaniel (Cathy) Shinn of Ft. Collins, Colo.; daughter, Rachel (Sam Baker) of Paauilo; brothers, Daniel (Janice) Searle of Riverside, Calif., Nathan (Pamela) Searle of Snohomish, Wash.; five grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Marlo Lenzi

Marlo Patricia Lenzi, 80, of Volcano died May 14, 2017, at home

Born March 6, 1937, in Honolulu, she was a strong supporter of The Humane Society of the United States.

She is survived by daughters, Debora (Kevin) LeBourdais of Volcano, Yvonne (Eric) Wright of Oregon, Laura Love of Kailua-Kona, Margaret (Dennis) Schneider of Oahu and Patricia Ray of California; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
