The Echo City Knockouts participated in the Big Island Brawl over the weekend at the Hilo Civic Center along with teams from the mainland, New Zealand, Japan, Maui, Oahu and the Big Island.

The Echo City Knockouts participated in the Big Island Brawl over the weekend at the Hilo Civic Center along with teams from the mainland, New Zealand, Japan, Maui, Oahu and the Big Island.

Echo City’s home base is in Kailua-Kona and the team was recently accepted as an apprentice to the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.

Their bout with the Ark Valley High Rollers on Sunday was their first WFTDA sanctioned game. They lost 283-172.
