Friends may call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. May 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church where a Mass will be held at 10 a.m., followed by burial at the Alae Cemetery. The family requests casual attire. Condolences may also be sent to Jody Gonsalves, RR3 Box 1318, Pahoa, HI 96778.

Filomena Magno

Filomena T. Esposo Magno, 91, of Hilo died April 28, 2017, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kohala, she was a retired seamstress and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. May 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friends may also call at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 8:30-9:30 a.m. May 31 for a 10 a.m. Mass, followed by entombment at the Homelani Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family requests casual attire.

She is survived by daughter, Marilyn (John) Saplan of Hilo; sister, Felipa Miguel of Hilo; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; several stepsons.

Ana Dominguez

Ana “Nicky” Maria Dominguez, 64, of Hilo died May 16, 2017, at Pohai Malama. Born July 25, 1952, in New York City, she was a floor walker for KTA Superstores and Long’s Drugs, and a black jack dealer at the Cal-Neva Casino in Reno, Nev.

She is survived by companion, Peggy Gartrell of Kurtistown; father, Humberto Dominguez Sr. of Hawthorne, Calif.; brother, Humberto Dominguez Jr. of Hawthorne, Calif.; sisters, Lupi (Mike) Perkins of Hawthorne, Calif., Nora (Ed) Simon of Ramona, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews.
