Children’s advocacy organization, Hawaii Children’s Action Network (HCAN) was selected as the 2017 winner of the Achievement in Management (AIM) for Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in nonprofit management, awarded by The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation on May 19.
Children’s advocacy organization, Hawaii Children’s Action Network (HCAN) was selected as the 2017 winner of the Achievement in Management (AIM) for Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in nonprofit management, awarded by The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation on May 19. HCAN was awarded the top prize, $25,000 in an unrestricted grant.
The Annual AIM award is the highest honor of excellence in the profession of nonprofit executive directors and was awarded to HCAN Executive Director and Weinberg Fellow, Deborah Zysman. The award is given to organizations for a demonstrable achievement and positive impact in improving the lives of the poor and needy in the state of Hawaii.
Excellence Award Honorees also included Dr. Hannah Preston-Pita, CEO, Big Island Substance Abuse Council.
