The Pregnancy Center will host a bake sale fundraiser with 100 percent Kona coffee.
The sale begins at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and continues until sold out on the Kaiwi Square lawn next to The Pregnancy Center.
Kiwanis Club of Kailua-Kona meets Wednesday
Kiwanis Club of Kailua-Kona will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Makalei Golf Club, 72-3890 Hawaii Belt Road, Kailua-Kona, 325-6625.
All visiting and prospective members are invited. The speaker will be Kirstin Kahaloa, Engagement Lead, Blue Zones Project, West Hawaii.
Kiwanis looks to serve the community by conducting service projects that respond to identified needs, especially related to children.

Kim administration forum to focus on budget
Mayor Harry Kim and members of his cabinet will explain to West Hawaii residents and businesses his administration’s budget, tax increases, priorities and plans for the fiscal year of 2017.
The discussion will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the West Hawaii Civic Center, Council Chambers.
The budget calls for property tax rate increases and a vehicle fuel tax increase. The budget faces a 4 percent increase in government employee salaries, negotiated statewide, and a $2 million cut in the transient accommodations tax.

Women’s conference planned
The Kona Arise Radiant Conference is planned from Thursday through Saturday at Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay.
General registration is $99 and kamaaina registration is $65, which includes all meetings, a registration bag, a raffle and brunch on Saturday. The event is from 7-9:30 p.m. Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon and 7-9:30 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Conference host Mary Hudson of Arise International has hosted more than 40 women’s conferences around the globe.

Auntie’s Angels seeks donations for seniors
Celebrating the Women of Hualalai Elderly, Auntie’s Angels will hold its monthly Soup Kitchen ‘n’ Pantry on Saturday.
A special brunch will be served by Kona Baptist Church volunteers and will include hula and music.
Donations of fresh fruits, vegetables and cans of soups are needed, along with female necessities, such as toiletries or personal hygiene items.
