Ernest Breithaupt
Ernest “Pee Wee” Macomber Breithaupt, 76, of Waiohinu died May 5, 2017, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ka’u, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Kona Road Department, County of Hawaii and an Army veteran.
A celebration of his life will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20 at the Waiohinu Park. Casual attire.
He is survived by wife, Annie Breithaupt of Waiohinu; sons, Edwin Dean Breithaupt, Royce Breithaupt, both of Waiohinu, Ernest (Sylvania) Breithaupt of Pahala; hanai daughter, Cliff-Anne (Ronald Baniaga) of Ocean View; sister, Helen Velez of Waiohinu; nine grandchildren, two great-granddaughters.

Lawrence Kim
Lawrence Kim, 68, of Hilo died March 13, 2017, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Hilo, he was the proprietor of Lawrence Kim Trucking.
Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no monetary gifts.
He is survived by wife, Jan Kim of Hilo; daughter, Tiara-Lei (Kyle Hayashi) of Mililani, Oahu; brothers, Clarence (Iris) Kim, James (Stephanie) Kim, all of Hilo; sister, Hilda (Clarence) Young of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Yaeko Nakanishi
Yaeko Nakanishi, 90, of Hilo died May 15, 2017, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hiroshima, Japan, she was a member of the Pomaikai Senior Center.
Private services to be held on Oahu.
She is survived by children, Nanae (Richard) Fralick of Washington, Albert Nakanishi of Kaneohe, Oahu, Jodilyn (Keith) Kunimoto of Hilo; and five grandchildren.
